Time is doing its work whether we pay attention or not, and that is exactly why Psalm 90:12 lands so hard: “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” We lean into that prayer and ask what it looks like to live with Christian wisdom, not just religious words. If you’ve ever felt the pressure of wasted time, shifting priorities, or the fear of future regret, this message meets you right there with clarity and urgency.

We talk about how wisdom is the skill of applying what you know, and how life’s “intrigues and intricacies” can confuse you when you chase what people flaunt. Aging is pictured like a thief that slowly takes strength, beauty, pride, and even appetite, reminding us that no one defeats age by willpower. Only God renews strength, and waiting on the Lord (Isaiah 40:31) becomes a practical path, not a slogan.

Then we lay out four grounded moves for spiritual growth and life purpose: serve God diligently from youth, shun worldly glories that are passing away, protect your heart with real boundaries (Proverbs 4:23), and stay ready for the day of the Lord (Isaiah 2:11–17). We also give a direct invitation to drop the baggage of sin and accept Christ, echoing Acts 16:30–31. Opening Prayer For Wisdom

SPEAKER_00

Let us pray. Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and God, you are the author of life. We adore you. Thank you for creating us in your image. Whatever we do here on earth is by your divine mandate. Father, let it please you that you will release to us the needed wisdom to excel in life and fulfill your divine mandate. In Jesus' mighty name, we have prayed. Amen.

Numbering Our Days And Wisdom

SPEAKER_00

The topic of our message is counting our days. Counting our days, part two. How long text is taken from Psalm 90, verse 12. Psalm 90 verse 12. So teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. So teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Brethren, wisdom is the right application of knowledge gained. Proverbs chapter 3, verse 13. Proverbs 313 says, Happy is the man who finds wisdom and the man who gains understanding. Wisdom is the ability to live life skillfully, to fulfill divine mandate. It is expected that as a man ages, his wisdom will increase and he will get smarter. The worst abuse that an adult can be subjected to, especially in Africa, is to say to an adult that he or she is behaving like a toddler. Proverbs chapter 4, verse 7. Proverbs 4, 7 says, Wisdom is the principal thing. Therefore, get wisdom. And in all you're getting, get understanding. My prayers are that as we grow in age, divine wisdom will be ministered to us by the Holy Spirit in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Last

Age Strips Pride And Strength

SPEAKER_00

week, we examined how certain circumstances and experience will shape our lives in achieving our goals in life. However, life itself is full of intrigues and intricacies. The value system outside there are things that can easily cause confusion if one does not know what one wants. What people flaunt can hardly meet God's mandate. For example, as each day passes, age is coming like a thief to take your beauty, take your strength, take your pride, take your intelligence, take your intellect, take your hustle, take your arrogance, radicalism, and hooliganism, take your appetite, your tongue will lose his taste, and your teeth will lose the strength. Take your desire for worldly pleasures, take your political togery and violence, take your sound head, take your fighting, boxing and wrestling skills, take your taste for fashion, take your professionalism, take your political relevance and godfatherism, even take your wickedness, it could take your physical weight and stature. He could take your fraudulent and scandalous lifestyle, it could even take your position in church and secular organizations. You simply become ordinary and dependent. What an irony. Remember now your creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you say, I have no pressure in them. No man can wrestle with age. No, he is a world heavyweight champion that no man has ever defeated. The only one that has power over age is God. Isaiah chapter 40, verse 31. Isaiah 40, verse 31 says, Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. He has the power to increase or reduce the age of man. He can renew or rejuvenate our strength to his glory. Therefore, apply wisdom in running your life. These

Four Ways To Live Wisely

SPEAKER_00

can be premised on the following. Number one, serve God diligently with everything in your right from days of your youth. Be fortified with the words of God. No one will come around you, tossing with your life for mockery at old age with heresies. Renewal of strength is only for those who know their God. It is better you know your God before the issues of life overwhelm you. Psalm 119, verse 105. Psalm 119, verse 105 declare that your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. If you like the word of God, you are gropping in darkness. I pray that no matter how fierce the efforts of the agents of darkness are, they will not overcome you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Number two, shone worldly things and glories. Shone worldly things and glories. For all that is in this world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it. But he who does the will of God abides forever. It will be a foolish act at old age or any age for that matter to be drunk and messing on the streets. The first thing anybody will challenge you is at your age. Don't let age become a burden for you. It's a privileged asset given to a few lucky ones. I pray that you will not betray the special grace of old age to misbehave under any circumstance. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Number three, protect your heart. Protect your heart. Proverbs chapter 4, verse 23. Proverbs chapter 4, verse 23 says, Keep your heart with all diligence. For out of it springs the issues of life. You must make deliberate efforts to keep a door with a strong key to your heart. Water around the ship doesn't sink it. It's the water that finds its way into the ship that has the potential to sink it. The world is so polluted that we virtually swim in toxic water. If you see great leaders, academia, church founders, school proprietors, head of nations misbehave and sink in corruption and stinking stories, you will realize you need to be determined not to fall. A friend said, seeing the caliber of people who are falling, he cannot vouch anymore that he will also be not become a victim of a great fall one day. Wow. This is scary. I pray that you will not fall. Amen.

Day Of The Lord And Salvation

SPEAKER_00

Number four, be ready for the day of the Lord. Every successful student makes their focus on the moment of school exams. They partake in extracurriculum activities, but that's not their major. We are here as sojourners. No serious trader carries mattresses to the market except that's what he sells. For in the day of the Lord, according to Isaiah chapter 2, verses 11 to 17. Isaiah 2, verses 11 to 17, the lofty looks of man shall be humbled. The hauntiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. For the day of the Lord of hosts shall come upon everyone, proud and lofty, upon everything lifted up, and it shall be brought low, upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Basham, upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up, upon every high tower, and upon every fortified wall, upon all sheaves of tashes, and upon all the beautiful slopes. The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the hauntiness of men shall be brought low. The Lord alone will be exalted in that day. If you are on the side of the Lord, you will also be exalted with him on that day. It has been established that eighty percent of those who transit in life at hospice usually put their fingers in their mouth in total regret of life. May this not be your testimony and my testimony in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. What can stop that is that you drop your baggage, which is sin. I plead with you today to shun sin and accept Christ. Maybe you're asking, What shall I do to be saved? In Acts chapter 16, verses 30 and 31. Acts 16, verses 30 and 31. The Bible says, And he brought them out and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? So they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. You and your household. I pray that you and I and our households shall be saved. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The grace of God shall speak for us. Amen.
