PEACE OF GOD

Peace is the thing everyone wants, yet so many of us keep trying to buy it with control, money, or perfect circumstances. We go straight to Jesus’ words in John 14:27 and wrestle with a hard question: what changes when peace is not a deal you negotiate, but a gift Christ gives “not as the world gives”?
We walk through Scriptures that ground this promise in real life: Psalm 37:37 on the future of the upright, Jeremiah 29:11 on God’s thoughts of peace and hope, and Luke 12:25 on why worry cannot add anything meaningful to our lives. We also reflect on Acts 7:55 and Stephen’s calm, showing how the peace of God can live in the soul even when the environment is anything but peaceful. Along the way, we name the everyday pressures behind anxiety, from sickness and debt to concerns about children, marriage, and tomorrow, and we call for an inner posture of trust that keeps the heart from being troubled.
The message ends with a wide-angle prayer for peace in our homes, our work, our communities, and our nation, including Nigeria, echoing Psalm 122:6. If you need biblical peace, peace of mind, and Christian encouragement that doesn’t pretend trouble isn’t real, press play and pray with us. Opening Praise And Peace Quote
SPEAKER_00Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. We come to you with cavalry greetings and the living word of God. In the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jimi Hendrix said, and I quote, When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then the world will know peace. End of quote.
Prayer For God’s Peace
SPEAKER_00Let us pray. Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our loving Father and our God, we bless your name. Prophet Isaiah in the book of Isaiah, chapter 9, verse 6, describe you as the Prince of Peace. Father, we accounted you as the author of peace. Wherever you are, means peace is there. Father, we pray that your common peace will abide with us and remain our companion forever through your word today. Let your word minister peace to our body, soul, and spirit. This and much more we ask from you, Lord. Let it be so. For we have prayed in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
John 14:27 Sets The Standard
SPEAKER_00The topic of our message is peace of God. Peace of God. And our letters is taken from the gospel according to Saint John. Chapter 14, we'll read verse 27. John chapter 14, verse 27. Peace I live with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Hallelujah. Brethren, Psalm 37, verse 37. Psalm 37, verse 37 says, Mark the blameless man and observe the upright. For the future of that man is peace.
Why Human Peace Breaks Down
SPEAKER_00Peace is a state of tranquility, of freedom from disturbance. The essence of peace in the life of any man cannot be overemphasized. There is no price that people cannot pay for peace, including war. When any man gets enough resources to say, Yes, I am now at peace. Such a man is the most fulfilled in life. Whatever virtue or sacrifice that gives you peace of mind is the greatest virtue and sacrifice any person can make or have. True and lasting peace, however, comes from our Lord Jesus Christ. He gives no trouble heart or fear. Not the way the world gives. No. By many standards, we pay live services unto peace. Many of man's behaviors and characters negate the peace that we profess or campaign for. When a man talks of peace, he talks of conditional peace. Man will negotiate peace on stand conditions and break even such conditions. Peace will then be further qualified as they change goalposts. No sincerity in man's peace accord. No, no wonder he breaks down daily and regularly. The scripture that we read was a farewell message by our Lord Jesus Christ to his disciples. He emphasized that he was living peace with the disciples. That means he is a custodian of peace. The disciples, knowing that the departure of their master was imminent, they were in fear and anxiety of what could happen after their master's departure. They had palpable fear. Things were definitely unstable for them. Anxious and agitated disciples were embellied with fear. Jesus needed to douse detention, not just temporarily, but with his assurance as an abinger of peace.
Four Realities Of God’s Peace
SPEAKER_00Peace connotes quietness, transcending the environment. Now, for God's peace, number one, there are no negotiations. It is an unconditional peace. What man sees in the physical may not blend with the feeling. But God is able to give his own a ministration of peace. Prosperity within your palaces. If God is with you, your confinement will experience peace. Number two, there are no conditionalities. The peace of God abides without hindrance or limitations. Nothing can change it or exit the beneficiaries. Not only doubting and unbelieving. Obedience to God ensures your peace flows. And number three, the peace of God is a gift from the Lord Jesus which resides in our soul. A troubled soul is a dead soul. A peaceful soul will power the body. When Stephen was being killed, his face was radiating peaceful transition to glory. In the book of Acts, chapter 7, verse 55. Acts 7, verse 55, it says, But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into the heaven and saw the glory of God. And Jesus standing at the right hand of God. Many people transisting in a five-star hospital weep into their transition. Number four, the peace of God is an encounter with the Holy Spirit. It is a covenant encounter. In the book of Jeremiah, chapter 29, verse 11. Jeremiah chapter 29, verse 11, the Bible says, For I know the thoughts I think towards you, says the Lord. Thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope. It's the covenant peace of God that guarantees tomorrow, no matter how bleak today's situation may evidence. Whenever the unexpected happens, fear apprehends us with distress. Trusting God for his promise of a future hope gives us assurance that the future is of God. Our worries means nothing. In Luke chapter 12, verse 25. Luke 12, verse 25, the Bible asks this way which of you by worrying can add one cubic to his stature? Of course, no one.
Replacing Worry With Trust
SPEAKER_00Are you uncomfortable with what life offers you? Jesus offers you greater and enduring peace. Just trust him. Learn how to embrace peace. Are you sick or indebted? Do you have worries over your children or your spouse? Trust God for a solution. Do not destroy your body before the solution comes. No matter how terrible a situation looks like, it will become history one day very soon. I pray that the solution to your problems will not miss you in the grave. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Access to God's peace is found in understanding his words. In Luke chapter 2, verse 29. Luke 2, verse 29, the Bible says, Lord, now you are letting your servant dispart in peace according to your word. God has the authority in his word to command peace. In Jesus, a blossom calmness in found. Let peace manifest in your inner core. Create an atmosphere receptible to the peace of God in your heart. Stop this ordained agitation and self-struggle. Don't be as log ahead with God, your peace provider. Have a new outlook to life. Trust God. He gives peace. He gives in abundance. God can be trusted. He never lies. Remember that troubled heart is not able to focus on God. Peace is a requirement for good life. Are you at peace? Do you trust God? Ask Him for peace in your home, in your business, in your community, and in your life. Christ offers you today peace, not as the world gives.
Praying For Nigeria And The World
SPEAKER_00For our country, Nigeria, and the world at large. Pray for our peace. Psalm 122, verse 6. Psalm 122, verse 6 says, Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May they prosper who love you. You love Nigeria. What you may be seeing today may be in conflict with your dream of a nation. Don't be disturbed by the maneuvering and the maneuvers. God cannot be dribbled. Why not rise up in prayer? God is the author of lasting peace. He can redeem our land. He will redeem our land. He will prosper you. Just believe that God is able and He will arise for our help in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
