GIVING PERMISSION FOR AFFLICTION (PART 3)

Urgency can sound persuasive, even caring—until it empties your strength and spends your future. We take a hard look at how persistent pressure becomes the doorway to affliction, drawing from the cautionary story of Samson and Delilah in Judges 16:16–21. With open Bibles and clear eyes, we separate genuine love from strategic leverage, showing why boundaries, verification, and Spirit-led patience are not optional for anyone serious about calling and legacy.

We walk through Delilah’s methods—relentless requests, emotional wear-down, and the rush to action—and translate those ancient tactics into the modern patterns we face in business, relationships, and ministry. You’ll hear why blind trust invites loss, how urgency without evidence is a red flag, and what it means to guard sacred secrets in a world that prizes instant access. We also balance the message with Luke 11, distinguishing holy persistence in prayer from manipulative persistence in people, so you can welcome bold faith while rejecting coercion.

Anchored by John 10:10, we name destiny thieves and confront the subtle compromises that give them room. Then we lead three focused prayers: protection from pretenders, reversal of hostile weapons, and divine judgment on destructive schemes targeting your family and God-given vision. We close with a practical seven-night prayer-and-fasting rhythm designed to expose hidden plots and restore strength. If you’ve felt pushed, hurried, or guilted into decisions, this conversation will equip you to pause, pray, and choose wisely.

Father, we are looking forward to abundant blessings and deep insight to your words in this session. Grant both the speaker and the hearers the grace to understand what you intend to teach us, Lord. Our lives will never remain the same. Thank you, eternal rock of ages. In Jesus' mighty name we have prayed. Amen. The topic of our message is giving permission for affliction. Giving permission for affliction. Part three. Our little text is taken from Judges chapter 16, we read verses 16 to 21. Judges 16, we read verses 16 to 21. And when she pressed him hard with her words day after day, and urged him, his soul was vexed to death. And he told her all his heart and said to her, Eliza has never come upon my head, for I have been a Nazarite to go from my mother's womb. If my head is shaved, then my strength will leave me, and I shall become weak and be like any other man. When the ladder saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called the Lords of Philistines, saying, Come up again, for he has told me all his heart. Then the Lords of Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hands. She made him sleep on her nails. And she called a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him. And she said, The Philistines are upon you, Samson. And he awoke from his sleep and said, I will go out as other times and shake myself free. But he did not know that the Lord had left him. And the Philistines seized him and gouged out his hand and brought him down to Gaza and banned him with bronze shackles and the ground at the mill in the prison. Brethren, each time I read this story about the powerful man Samson, I feel so sorry for him, and my spirit is always sober. I want us to take a cursory look at the stage by stage on how Samson was captured like a fowl. The storyline is not as terrible as some of the strategies used by Delilah. She was so raw and rustic in dealing with her supposed husband and lover. Let's look at some of the Bible records of Delilah in handling Samson. Number one, she pressed him with her words day after day until his soul was vexed to death. This is a common but strong strategy used by many people in bringing down others. Persistent pressure. When someone is giving you pressure, please find a reason to excuse yourself. Do not fall for cheap and calculated pressure. The character of that could see me man notwithstanding. The only thing that many have in negotiation is pressure, not love, not equity, not fairness, not even genuine mind. They will call you 20 times a day, find out their intentions and what they are hiding behind their pressure. Many will put pressure to get paid for a completed job in a contract. They won't even allow you to check with your representatives or experts how well the job has been done. They may even accuse you of not trusting them. What is trust in man? People will only be faithful in what you thoroughly expect, not what you expect. Be careful always in trusting people. Blind trust has ruined many destinies. It's a potent strategy by fraudsters. When someone wants something, persistent pressure has been found to be a very great tool. Be careful of those who put pressure on you to take decisions not thought through. Delilah pressurize his husband almost to death. In Luke chapter 11, verses 5 to 8. Luke 11, verses 5 to 8, the Bible says, and he said to them, Which of you who has a friend will go to him at midnight and say to him, Friend, let me three loaves. For a friend of mine has arrived on the journey, and I have nothing to set before him. And he will answer from within, do not bother me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I cannot get up and give you anything. I tell you, though he will not get up and give him anything, because he is his friend, yet, because of his impudence, he will rise and give you whatever he needs. Impudence is a rude approach or protocol breaking. Yes, it can give us access to an answer prayer from God, but it can also make anyone to be vulnerable to cheap blackmail. Brethren, this is where our prayer focus will be today. We must rebuke the legion of frosts, targeting our destiny with pressure, targeting our children and family with measured pressure. God will expose them all. They are thieves of destiny. In the book of John, chapter 10, verse 10, John 10, 10, the Bible says, The thief only comes to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and life it abundantly. Now our prayers. Prayer number one. We say, Father, everyone and anyone coming as a friend with the intention to steal my precious destiny. Please, Lord, frustrate, disgrace, and shape them openly in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. My destiny is preserved from thieves and evil men and women in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Prayer number two. We say, Father, anyone and everyone trying to kill me physically or spiritually, let their weapons backfire on them in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I will fulfill my days. I will fulfill God's destiny in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I will not be a victim of God too soon. I cancel every funeral program prepared by the enemy for me and turn it over to them. Indeed, they will all grow old like a gamut. The mouth we eat them up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. And finally, prayer number three. We say, Father, anyone and everyone planning destruction for me, for my family, for my dream and God's given vision. Let God arise in anger and destroy them. Let the sword of vengeance come forth and destroy everyone planning destruction for me. Lord, you are a consuming fire. Every man pretending as a friend with the intention to harm or destroy me. Let the cry of sorrow never cease in their homes. Every evil plague that has ever been heard of, let them call upon all my adversaries in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Thank you, everlasting God. In Jesus' mighty name, we have prayed. Amen. Please pray these prayers for seven nights to break your fasting and see how God will demonstrate his power openly for you. In the next series, we will continue with analyzing the Lila's own way of dealing with a lover and a husband. May God deliver us all from the warfare that uses a home as their launching base for their assort in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. My name is Benjamin Olasu Kami or Lavin Julov. Let us pray. Father, we want to thank you once again for your faithfulness in our lives. Thank you for not allowing Satan to write the last chapter of our lives. We stand against every coalition, against our lives, physically and spiritually. Such alliances will fail and crash to break the heads of the planners. Every plan to turn our glory towards upon a time story. Let the fire of the Holy Spirit consume such gatherings and their homes in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Thank you, Jehovah Jair. In Jesus' wonderful name, we have prayed. Amen.
