SPEAKER_00:

Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. We bring to you good tidings, cavalry greetings, and the living word of God. We pray for abundant blessings for all our listeners in the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Amen. In Proverbs chapter 2, verses 6 to 7. Proverbs 2, verses 6 and 7. The Bible says, For the Lord gives wisdom. From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk uprightly. It is my prayers that God will give us wisdom, knowledge and understanding, and he will be a shield to us, always in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Our wonderful Father and our God, we worship you. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to learn at your feet. Thank you for the first two episodes and the impact on our lives. Father, we pray that in this episode we will be massively blessed. In Proverbs chapter 16, verse 16, the Bible says, How much better to get wisdom than gold, and to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. Father, please fill us with wisdom and understanding to the glory of your name. In Jesus' name, we have prayed. Amen. The topic of our message is wisdom to overcome. Wisdom to overcome. Part three. We read verses 11 to 13. 1 Kings chapter 3, verses 11 to 13. Then God said to him, Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself, understanding to descend justice. Behold, I have done according to your words. See, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before, nor shall any like you arise after you. And I have also given you what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. Brethren, I have read these words over and over again, and marvel at the blessings pronounced on King Solomon. A day of blessings from God is enough for any man and his generations if they don't depart from the way of the Lord. God was so pleased with King Solomon for so many reasons. Starting from his building the synagogue to his dedication and offerings with his humble request before God. Please get ready. But before then, let's look at God's response. God is not impressed or excited by man's usual prayers for long life, riches, and death of our enemies. I hope we all take note of this. God's love for us is beyond petty revenge and mundane ambitions. His plans for us, if we can comport ourselves, is always beyond our imaginations. It costs God nothing to grant us great requests if only we can remain faithful to him and be patient with his plans. Let's examine God's response to King Solomon's prayers. Number one, God could see a selfless heart in Solomon from his prayers. God confirm that he has done according to Solomon's words. This is a great honor for God to stamp someone's request without query, without amendment. I pray that we will experience this grace all the days of our lives in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Number two, God gave him wisdom and understanding beyond what he has ever or will ever be given to anyone. The mark of God's blessing is the incomparability with anyone anywhere. I pray that these shall be our testimonies in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Number three, God added riches and honor to Solomon's request. This is in the character of God. Once God's instructions are fulfilled, He adds small blessings. In Matthew chapter 6, verse 33. Matthew 6, verse 33, the Bible says, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. May we be privileged to receive from God our request and additional blessings in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Brethren, we now go to our prayers. We can see that what made the huge difference in King Solomon's prayers and the regular, usual prayers was his selfless heart in prayer. We will call upon God and say, Father, please purify my heart. That all that I will ask from you from now on will be what meets with your pleasure and approval in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Let my request stir up your spirit of blessings beyond my request. Let my prayers start to be a model of your will and pleasure. Let me not pray amiss, Lord. Anoint my heart and lips to ask with wisdom and understanding in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Thank you, everlasting Father. In Jesus' mighty name, we have prayed. Amen. Please, brethren, take time to repeat these prayers at your private time. You will have testimony in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. The next episode, we will be discussing God's stand warning to King Solomon. Those who have tested the blessings of God know that He is a great God, plentiful in mercy, but also a consuming fire. Let's wait till the next episode. My name is Benjamin Olasukami Olami Julom. Let us pray. Everlasting Father, King of Glory, Ancient of Days, the I am that I am, we worship you. How sweet and marvelous will it have been if man can devote his time in knowing you. Solomon momentally found the right key in prayers to you, and his name and office became great. Father, we thank you for this message. The wisdom to seek in knowing you and serving you are right. Please grant us, Lord. From now, please, Lord, teach us to know how to find acceptance in your presence. Let the answers to our prayers reflect your nature as a merciful and gracious Father. Let it be so, Lord. For we prayed in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
