Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. We bring to you good tidings, cavalry greetings, and the living word of God. We pray for his abundant blessings for all our listeners in the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Amen. Our Lord Jesus Christ asked in Matthew chapter 8, verses 35 and 36. Matthew 8, verses 35 and 36. What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? This is how important spending everlasting life in the presence of God is. I pray that God in his mercies will help us not to miss this golden opportunity. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Let us pray. Eternal God, our Redeemer, we worship you. Thank you for the grace for making us here apparent to everlasting life through your death and resurrection. Thank you, Lord, for the daily guide on how to make it through your grace and power. The whole essence of our relationship with you, Lord, is to be guided to inheriting everlasting life. Your parable has established that many great men will miss out. Father, we pray that under any conditions, Lord, I pray for myself and my listeners. None of us will miss out of this great destiny. Your grace and power will help our weak soul. We will not miss everlasting life. So shall it be, Lord. For we have prayed in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. The topic of our message is inheriting everlasting life. Inheriting everlasting life. Chapter 10. We read verses 25 to 37. Luke 10, verses 25 to 37. And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said to him, What is written in the law? What is your reading of it? So he answered and said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. And he said to him, You have answered rightly, do this, and you will live. But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor? Then Jesus answered and said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, and leaving him half dead. Now by chance, a certain priest came down the road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked and passed by the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, calling and oil and wine, and he sent him on his own animal, brought him to an inn and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denari, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, Take care of him, and whatever more you spent, when I come again, I will repay you. So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves? And he said, He who showed mercy on him. Then Jesus said to him, Go and do likewise. Brethren, the wisest search for any man is to genuinely keep finding what is to be done to inherit everlasting life. Such questions that the lawyer here asked. I believe he didn't just ask, he probably was seeking guidance towards making direct efforts at inheriting everlasting life. This question should be in our mind every day, every time, and everywhere. What Baggerhot in his quote said, no great work has ever been produced except after a long interval of still and musing meditation. Eternal life should be the bedrock of our daily meditation. The victim in the narrative of the parable was attacked by robbers and left helpless. It is possible today to compare this victim to other victims, taking advantage of as vulnerable groups or individuals and left helpless. What are our attitudes towards them? Let's look at typical examples of these vulnerable groups. Number one, orphans or motherless babies stroke children. Number two, sick and vulnerable people. Number three, poor and indigent people. Number four, physically challenged people, and number five, people in depression and of mental instability. Unfortunately, what many of these vulnerable people get from the society include but not limited to being mocked. This is not limited to the larger community, but even what they get from Christian brothers and sisters is mockery. The church hardly makes any provision for these vulnerable groups. In Galatians chapter 6, verse 10. Galatians 6 10, the Bible says, Do not be deceived. God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows, that he will also leap. I pray that none of us will sow mockery, though the fruit will haunt us as a person throughout life. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. These groups have been taken advantage of to worsen the conditions of these vulnerable people. Many take advantage of them, they engage them with payments that cannot feed them or steal their materials because they cannot see. Many are visually impaired. This is not good. What that old woman or man you are taking care of cannot see. God sees it. Stop the abuse and save your old age. Save your generations from irreversible cost. Thirdly, they are being totally ignored. They are being totally ignored. Many have no sympathy, not to talk of empathy for these groups. Many may even lead spiritual meanings to some congenital situations as if they are the ones that created themselves. Just to cross the road, we encourage them and make them feel honored in the society. We are all creations of our infallible God. Brethren, please ruminate over these things and wherever you find yourself wanting, make amends. This is a divine call to correct how we see vulnerable people. In the next episode, we will be looking at the various characters that saw this wounded man and their excuses for not partaking in the rescue operation of the brethren. There is no excuse when we are faced with this situation on the day of the judgment. May God's mercy be our sheed in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Want to thank you for your interest and patience in listening to this broadcast. We believe that you have been blessed. Please have share with as many people as possible. My name is Benjamin Olasukami Olamijula. Let us pray. Everlasting King of Glory, the I am that I am, the ancient of days, we glorify your name. Thank you for being our carer always in all situations. Thank you for providing around us opportunity to show the same love that you show us to our neighbors. Father, we plead that wherever we have failed you in the past, you will have mercy on us. From now on, our perspective of all the creatures of God will be that of appreciation of you, Lord. Whatever and wherever we are able to find ourselves useful to support our brothers and sisters, we will not complain, but we will praise God for such an opportunity. All the areas that we have filled in the past, Lord, we ask for your mercy to speak for us over every judgment. Let it be so, Lord, for we have prayed in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
